Description
The Common Ash (Fraxinus excelsior) is a tall broadleaf tree with light, resilient and elastic wood, member of the olive family (Oleaceae).
Use
The Common Ash is largely used in forestry and as a park tree.
Storage
Its seeds are dry and are characterized with deep dormancy. Sowing is recommended in physiological maturity or cold stratification for 5-6 months with a one-month warm phase. Germination is high.
Seeds are stored in hermetically sealed containers for a period of 10 years. The recommended storage temperatures are from 0°С to -18°С depending on the length of storage.
