English Oak (Quercus robur)



The English Oak (Quercus robur) is a broadleaf deciduous tree of the Fagaceae family, the Quercus group. It grows up to 25-35 m. It has great longevity – more than 1000 years.


The English Oak is used in forestry and in park development.


Its seeds are moist. They are non-dormant and sowed in spring and autumn. The Acorns are characterized by high germination.

Acorns are stored for up to 3 years at temperatures from 3 °С to -4 °С and the relative air humidity to be maintained in the premises is 85-90%.
