Grey Poplar / Populus canescens



The Grey Poplar (Populus canescens) is a broad-leaved deciduous tree. It has soft wood which is broadly used in construction for the production of crates, safety-matches, cellulose. The grey poplar leaves are used for fodder for the cattle. Poplars provide rich and vast bee pastures. They are widely used as decoration trees in park development and for strengthening the river banks. Its wood is used in the production of activated charcoal.
