The Scots Pine (Pinus sylvestris) is an evergreen coniferous tree. It is the most commonly occurring coniferous species in Bulgaria.
The Scots Pine is used in forestry and is one of the species of extreme economic significance. It is used in park development as well.
The seeds of the Scots Pine are dry. Before sowing they need to be treated with snow water and soaked. Germination is above 80%.
Seeds are stored for a period of up to 3 years in hermetically sealed containers at temperatures between 0 °С and -5 °С.
