The Sessile Oak (Quercus petrаеа) or the durmast oak is a broadleaf tree of the Fagaceae family, growing up to 30-40 m.
The Sessile Oak is used in forestry and in park development.
Its seeds are moist and are characterized with high germination. Sowing is in spring and autumn. Acorns are characterized with high germination.
Seeds are stored for up to 3 years at temperatures from 3 °С to -1 °С and high air humidity has to be maintained in the storing premises.
